Numbers

Johnny's WBC count was down to 139 at his 11p labs tonight.  That is almost a 100 point drop since Thursday morning.  A good improvement, but still about 120 points too high.  A normal WBC count is something around 15, so that puts his current condition in some perspective.  The high white cell count is still causing some problems with swelling and fluid retention, but the bleeding seems to be improving, and his gums are getting pinker.  The rest of his blood chemistry looks pretty good.  Johnny has been sleeping a lot today which is something he really needs.  I think this is also an indication that he is in a little less pain.  Until today he would only sleep for a few minutes at a time, but today he has been sawing logs, and has really only been awake for short periods.  He is really weak right now, and needs the rest.

I thought of Johnny when I received this in an email:
"The Will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you."

Stay strong Romano Family!
