Pretty Good Day

Johnny felt much better today.  Not great, but a lot better than the last few days for sure.  He was awake and alert all day.  We watched a couple of new surf movies, and he had Whataburger chicken strips for lunch.  He actually ate a couple, which was the first solid food he's had by mouth in well over a week.  This is both good, and maybe not so good.  About 10p tonight Johnny started complaining of stomach pain.  Still no fever, so we are hoping it's just a little indigestion and not any type of infection.  Only time will tell on that, but they are running some tests on his poop to see if they can find anything unusual.  

Johnny will definitely be in ICU until he gets the new chemo drug.  His WBC will need to be under 30, so it's possible that could be tomorrow since his last labs showed a count of 36, but more than likely he will get it on Tuesday.  If he continues to progress at this rate we may be able to go back to 9 as soon as we know he isn't having any negative reactions to the drug.  That would be very nice for my back since I won't have to try to sleep in a chair.
