Tough Guy Conference Call

Johnny got a call today from Danny Way, next to Johnny probably the toughest guy there is.  If you don't believe me just watch the reruns on this year's X-Games.  Just like Johnny that guy takes a licking and keeps on ticking.  I had no idea who was on the phone, but it was pretty funny listening to this end of the conversation.  Johnny - "Hi, this is Johnny."  Pause.  "Yeah, you're talking to him."  Pause.  "That's cool."  Pause.  "Yep."  It went on that that for about 5 minutes.  Then he said "OK.  Thanks." hung up and went back to watching TV.  I had to ask who he was talking to.  "Oh.  It was Danny Way."  Like they talk all the time or something.

Other than the call from Danny today was pretty much like yesterday.  Not a whole lot of change yet.  Still a lot of swelling and bone pain (I was actually very surprised that Johnny even answered his cell phone because it hurts so much for him to talk), but at least he didn't seem any worse than yesterday.  He still is showing some fluid in his lung, so the doctors are giving him a lot of antibiotics to try to prevent an infection.  Something else to watch closely.  Julie stayed in ICU with Johnny most of yesterday, and over night.  There is really no way for parents to sleep down here so I don't think Julie did.  I swapped with her today so she could go to my mom's and get some sleep.  When she wakes up tonight we will probably switch again.  This could be our schedule for a while.

We are officially out of room 903.  I think the nurses were hoping to hold it for when Johnny is able to return to that floor, but now it looks like we will be here in ICU for a few days at least.  I will post up our new room number as soon as we get a new room.
