CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Thursday, March 26, 4pm -- Galveston City Council will vote to rename the skatepark in Johnny's memory. Everyone is invited -- there is strength in numbers!
Today marks six months since you passed away. Sometimes it seems much longer and sometimes it seems like yesterday. When I think about you, I think about the beautiful exciting full-of-life child you were. You always excelled at everything you did. You made us all want to be a better person. We all miss you very much but take comfort in knowing that you are watching over us and would want us to be happy. I feel very blessed that you were my grandson.
This has brought me to tears. all the way in hawaii. as we say it MAHALO A O JOHNNY NUNUI LOHA. MALAMA O OHANA O JOHNNY. AHUEHO! (thank you and johnny you have huge love. the family will take care of johnny. take care my friend) was the translation. Best of luck to you who has been hurt by this loss.
It's only 10 minutes after my previous post and...
I just got a text from my brother in AZ telling us that the City Council approved the request and there is now a Johnny Romano Skate Park in Galveston!!
All of our prayers were heard and I think an impish angel in heaven might have had something to do with it : )

Congratulations Romano family! Ya'll are truly amazing and have brought a community together.
iam gonna do my very best to get a plane ticket and go there.
hopefully i can meet everyone who was inspired by Johhny, the world of skateboarding.
